Recent Advances in Pediatrics (Special Volume 22): Immunology, Infections and Immunization

This, the 22nd Special Vol of the international series, Recent Advances in Pediatrics (occupying a pride of place in pediatric circles globally), covers topical issues in pediatric immunology, infections and immunization. As many as 27 peer-reviewed, evidence-based and state-of-the-art chapters contributed by 46 experts drawn from India, England, Ireland, United States, etc. review the depth and breadth of knowledge in the field of pediatric infectious diseases, including immunology and immunization and vaccines with the special reference to its applicability in the Indian subcontinent. Notably, each and every chapter is remarkable in its excellence, providing a stimulating and (at times, even provocative) discussion, mature and informed update. Understandably such an approach is befitting when the goal is to inform as also to motivate discussion, interaction, research and innovation. In keeping with professed policy of the RAP series, a multidisciplinary approach with an eye on future continues to be the guiding principle throughout the volume. The contents contribute in a substantial way in translating concepts and advances from benchside to bedside and beyond to the community at large.
