This book provides a comprehensive account of the interpretation of chest X-rays. The first chapter focuses on the basics of imaging using chest X-rays, while the next two chapters describe normal chest anatomy as well as abnormalities as seen in chest X-rays. The remaining chapters deal with various diseases and disorders, including infections and malignancies, with the emphasis being on radiographic findings and their interpretation. Each chapter deals with a particular type of disease, e. g., thoracic infections, interstitial diseases, pleural diseases, pulmonary oedema, to name a few. The final chapter provides the reader with information on the use of chest X-rays in monitoring the positioning of various devices, like nasogastric tubes and chest drains, as well as its use in intensive care for monitoring the positions of lines and tubes in the chest.
