DOODY'S BOOK REVIEW
REVIEWER'S EXPERT OPINION
Roger Vernon Dietz, BS, MS, MD(University of Kansas Medical Center)
This is an overview of the pathological interpretation of endometrial biopsies.
The purpose is to help improve the diagnostic accuracy of endometrial biopsies. The book provides a nice overview of benign and malignant conditions as well as common diagnostic pitfalls.
Practicing pathologists are the primary audience, but residents may find it helpful as a concise reference.
In reviewing endometrial pathology, the book covers hormonal changes, organic lesions, malignancies, and common pitfalls. The strongest features of the book are the pictures, which are high quality and plentiful.
This is a useful quick reference covering most of the endometrial pathology that is encountered on a daily basis. Information is presented concisely, and helpful, quality pictures accompany almost every entity.
