This book ‘Approach to Pediatric Emergency’ provides a step-wise approach to deal with a child in emergency department not only to save the child but also reduce the morbidity. It comprises of 18 sections that discusses emergency situations, dealt with both by emergency physicians and pediatricians. First two sections provide general introduction and methods of resuscitation. Third section is on sedation, analgesia, intubation and procedures. Neonatal emergencies are discussed. Further sections discuss emergencies in the field of respiratory, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, renal, neurology, hematology, endocrine. Topics like environmental problems, poisoning, foreign body, psychiatric behavioral and social issues, trauma and orthopedics and many others are highlighted in the book. Last sections provide information on miscellaneous emergencies and medicolegal issues.
